The Declaration of Independance We went to see it Sept. 16, 2009

BJ was off today to take care of some personal things, He asked me if I wanted to go over to the Convention Center today In Henderson. They were displaying one of the 25 printed copies that are left of the 200 of the Declaration of Independance. They were printed on July 4, 1776
The signature one is on Parchment Paper and usually resides in The National archives Building in Washington D.C. So that of course is not what we were to see.
This is the only one that goes around on tour In the U.S.A. The pearson group does this. In 2000 Norman Lear bought it and thought it would be nice to have it go throu out the U.S. for people to see.
It was an amazing sight anyway. No flashes were aloud and for some reason after i finally figured out how to turn it of they turned out blury and a few on my cell phone. This with the other printed ones are refered to as the Dunlap Broadside. So we had a nice few minutes of a nice Date. No cost. BJ heard about it yesterday on the radio I never did. was not publicised much. Worth seeing it. when we were reading the pamplet which is a picture below about it he then saw a poster on one of the walls asked me to ask the person who gave it how to get a copy of it before I got to far he said oh the pamplet unfolds to the poster which is below. This was mostly done for the School kids. They had draped the flag on the ceiling the reason it is upside down I was on the otherside and people were around so it was the only way to take it.
